About Us

Our expertise and relationship with the Department of National Defence stems from our company founder: Mr. Thomas Arnold Percy Eyre, CD, M.Sc., Nav. E., P. Eng., who served in the Royal Canadian Navy for seventeen years, and who subsequently acquired four years of experience as a consultant in the private sector, before incorporating Promaxis (formerly Eyretechnics Limited) in 1971.

Since incorporation, the objective of the company has been to develop and support systems for our clients, throughout the systems’ life cycles. Which includes support throughout their requirement definition, concept formulation, system definition, acquisition, in-service and disposal phases. Systems developed and supported have included mechanistic systems (equipment), adaptive systems (such as man-machine systems like the fighter aircraft), and large-scale systems (such as ships and submarines). System applications have included national defence, transportation, coast guard, fisheries, communications, health, welfare, education, ports, petroleum, museums, environment, agriculture, informatics, external affairs, postal services, metrification, off-shore exploration, ice-breaking, property management, fitness, and other areas.

We simplify the complex process of maintaining a large number of publications, and add quality control at each step of the process to ensure the integrity of technical data. We also publish Interactive Manuals that increase end user efficiency, and reduce the down-time of your equipment. Our solution is fully customized for the Canadian military, based on our 40+ years of experience providing support for the army, navy, and air force. We provide support throughout the full lifecycle of equipment and systems – from inception, through engineering design and manufacture, to service and disposal.
